Effective August 1st, we will be at our new location just three blocks west of our old place. Our new address is 12847-56 Street. Please stop by for information on Class 1 and 3 training or to just check out our shiny, new office and shop space.

Truck Driver Training in Edmonton

Donovan’s Driver Education has been teaching Class 1 and 3 truck driver training in Edmonton for 17 years.

We are a family-owned business and one of Edmonton’s premier truck driving schools with a proven success rate.

If you are looking for a new career in the transportation industry and you live in the Edmonton area, please give us a call or drop in for a coffee. We can talk about your future plans to get you heading in the right direction.

All training is performed on up-to-date equipment, so you will not be left behind. This includes tractors and trailers with ABS brakes. We have an 18 speed Volvo, so you will be able to learn how to split gears, and we now have an automatic 2009 Volvo for Class 1 and Class 3 training.

If you’ve been considering taking an air brake course in the Edmonton area, Donovan’s Driver Education will help you get started on the right path. Our classrooms include the Alberta air brake course, which is the Q endorsement. We also provide instruction on how to change oil, grease and put on tire chains, which is a must for the oil field industry.

We use trailers from smaller trailers right up to 53 foot trailers with computerized engines and full horse power. You will learn to handle a semi-tractor in a professional manner. Our tractors are equipped with sleeper berths to help you prepare for highway or city employment. We also offer continued support in employment assistance.

All of our in-truck training is taught one-on-one with one of our experienced instructors. Both Garry and Amandeep have over 10 years’ experience in the transportation industry.

If you are in need of funding and you are First Nations or Métis, we work with agencies such as Oteenow and Rupertsland, who may provide funding given you are eligible.
